Moqups

Wireframe, diagram, prototype, and whiteboard in one app

Visit

Launched in 2012 as an online wireframing app, Moqups has evolved into a versatile tool for product and project management. With a single subscription, teams can wireframe, diagram, whiteboard, and prototype. Moqups is used worldwide by over 2 million product managers, business analysts, UX professionals, founders, and agencies, and information technology companies. Made for both designers and non-designers, Moqups is the perfect collaboration tool for cross-functional teams. The app makes it easy to sketch out early-stage concepts, and then move seamlessly from lo-fi to hi-fi as projects evolve. What can you build? You can build wireframes, flowcharts, whiteboards, mockups, timelines, dashboards, ERD and UML diagrams. Moqups is also great for annotation and documentation, whether you're specifying data, technical or UX requirements. It's the perfect app for getting ideas out of your head, giving them shape, and sharing them with stakeholders.

What stands out to me is that this isn't just another wireframing tool—it covers the entire journey from rough sketches to diagrams and documentation in one place. I can see this being valuable for product managers and developers who need to communicate ideas without constantly switching between multiple apps. The built-in UML and ERD support is a nice touch. I'd be curious to know if AI-assisted diagram generation or converting natural language into wireframes is on the roadmap.

The lo-fi to hi-fi progression in a single tool is the useful part here. A lot of teams lose momentum when they have to migrate from a quick sketch into a separate prototyping app, so keeping it in one place makes sense.

What I really like here is solving the tool fragmentation problem - most teams have wireframers using one tool, mockup designers using another, and documentation scattered everywhere. Having wireframes, mockups, diagrams, flowcharts, and UML all in one place eliminates constant context switching and keeps teams aligned on the same project. The lo-fi to hi-fi workflow is particularly smart - you can rough out ideas quickly and refine them without learning new tools. Real-time collaboration is a nice bonus too for distributed teams.

It's cool to see something that has all of these features in one-app, could've definitely used this earlier on in development
