TallyMsg has great potential! A few improvements could make it even better. I'd love to share my feedback and suggestions. WhatsApp: https://wa.me/447307349530 Telegram: t.me/rforrank

Chat-based logging nails the friction problem — most expense trackers die because you have to remember to open the app. The hard part is categorisation accuracy on ambiguous merchants (an 'Amazon' or 'PayPal' line could be anything). How does it handle corrections — can you fix a miscategorised entry inline in the chat, and does it remember that merchant next time? That inline-correction loop is usually what decides whether people keep trusting the totals.

The multi-modal capture is the smart part here — snapping a receipt photo in the same thread where you already text people removes the whole open-the-app ritual that kills most trackers. Curious how you handle split transactions (one receipt, part business part personal) — that is where every expense tool I have used falls apart.

The insight I like most here is removing the app-switching overhead. Most people already have Telegram or WhatsApp open, and forcing them into yet another financial app kills adoption. The voice note parsing for receipt details is clever too - costs money to split a receipt with coworkers but capturing it via voice in the moment? That's a real friction reducer.

Meeting people inside Telegram and WhatsApp instead of yet another app to install is the smart part. Most expense trackers lose users at exactly that step, because logging a coffee shouldn't require opening a dashboard. The question I'd have as a user: can it read a photo of a receipt, or is it text-entry only? Receipt-to-line-item is usually what tips people from "tried it once" to actually sticking with it.

The friction removal angle is huge here. Most people avoid expense tracking because they'd need to pull out a dedicated app every time they spend money. Embedding it directly into Telegram or WhatsApp where people already are makes tracking effortless. The AI categorization means no manual data entry - just a message and it's handled. For anyone managing shared expenses with roommates or teams, this cuts the "did you log that?" back-and-forth that kills tracking systems in the first place.
