SCRNIFY provides developers with a reliable and secure way to generate screenshots and video captures from any URL through a simple API. After our recent launch, we've enhanced our service with signed API keys for improved security and intelligent caching for cost efficiency. The service supports flexible configurations including custom viewport sizes, caching durations (1 second to 30 days), and various output formats. Built by developers for developers, SCRNIFY focuses on delivering high-quality captures while maintaining ease of use and robust security measures. Whether you need OG images for social media, website thumbnails, or automated screenshot solutions, SCRNIFY handles the heavy lifting while you focus on building your product.
Hey fellow makers! 👋 Laura and Heidi here from Austria. SCRNIFY was born during our company's Christmas hackathon - you know, one of those "wouldn't it be cool if..." moments. We already had an internal screenshot tool for a client (fun fact: we secretly used ScreenshotOne for the prototype 🤫), and thought: "Why not make this available for everyone?" What started as a "simple" frontend for our internal tool quickly turned into a journey of browser quirks, memory management, and the realization that nothing involving browsers is ever really simple! But that's what makes it fun, right? We're currently in open beta, learning and improving as we go. As backend developers venturing into the frontend world, we're especially keen to hear your thoughts and experiences. What features would make your screenshot workflows easier? Any particular pain points you'd love to see solved? Drop us a comment or reach out - we'd love to chat about browser automation, scaling challenges, or just swap some developer war stories! Cheers from Austria! 🇦🇹 Laura & Heidi
