Insert Affiliate

Affiliate tracking for iOS & Android in-app purchases

Visit

Insert Affiliate is affiliate, referral and influencer tracking built specifically for iOS and Android subscription apps. Most affiliate platforms were designed for the web, where a browser cookie tells you which affiliate drove a sale. On mobile that link disappears the moment someone subscribes inside the App Store or Google Play, so app businesses have never been able to run affiliate programs properly. Insert Affiliate fixes that.

We tie every in-app purchase back to the affiliate, creator or referrer who drove it, including renewals, so you can pay partners fairly on real results rather than guesswork. You get affiliate management, tracking, dashboards and payouts in one place. Insert Affiliate works on top of RevenueCat and StoreKit, and we're a RevenueCat Technology Partner. Pricing is a flat fee rather than a percentage of your revenue, so your costs don't scale up as your affiliate sales grow.

Features

  • In-app purchase attribution that survives the App Store and Google Play, so you know which affiliate drove each subscription and each renewal
  • Real-time creator and affiliate dashboard showing clicks, installs, conversions and earnings
  • Native referral links and short codes that work inside your app
  • In-app affiliate marketplace and creator discovery to help you find partners
  • Automated commission tracking and payouts
  • Works on top of RevenueCat and StoreKit; RevenueCat Technology Partner
  • SDKs for Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter, Unity and JavaScript
  • Flat fee pricing, not a cut of your revenue

Use Cases

  • Run an influencer or creator campaign and pay each creator only for the subscriptions they actually drive, including renewals
  • Launch a customer referral program where users earn rewards for bringing in paying subscribers
  • Set up an affiliate program for your app without building in-app purchase attribution yourself
  • Give creators a live dashboard of their clicks, conversions and earnings so they keep promoting
  • Add a performance-based growth channel alongside paid ads, so acquisition cost is tied to real revenue
  • Track which partner, coupon or link drove a subscription across iOS and Android
  • Attribute and reward word-of-mouth and ambassador programs for subscription apps
  • Automate creator payouts instead of chasing spreadsheets each month

Hi everyone, Michael here, founder of Insert Affiliate. This one started as my own problem. I was building Card Twister, a subscription app, and I wanted to get creators and affiliates to promote it and pay them a cut of the subscriptions they brought in. Sounded simple. It wasn't. The issue is that once someone installs your app and subscribes inside it, the App Store strips away the link that sent them there. So I had no way of knowing which creator actually drove which subscription, which meant I couldn't pay anyone fairly, and I couldn't run the kind of performance deals I wanted to. I looked around for a tool to solve it and everything out there was built for the web, where a browser cookie does the job. Nothing handled in-app purchases properly. So I ended up building the attribution myself. It worked, and it struck me that every other subscription app founder hits this exact wall. That's Insert Affiliate: it ties every in-app purchase, including renewals, back to the creator who drove it, and handles the payouts. We're now a RevenueCat Technology Partner. Still early and building in the open, so I'd genuinely love your feedback, tear it apart, tell me what's missing. Happy to answer anything.

App developers have been locked out of affiliate programs since the app store doesn't provide the tracking infrastructure that web platforms have. Every subscription app that relies on creator partners or referrals ends up building custom tracking or watching revenue disappear. Having an actual affiliate solution built for mobile changes the equation - you can suddenly tap into an entire channel for paid user acquisition that wasn't viable before. The real win is turning creators into distribution channels instead of guessing whether partnerships are working.
