Hey ! 👋 I built Altxt AI because I got tired of the same problem on every site I worked on — hundreds of images with empty alt tags, killing SEO and accessibility scores. Writing alt text manually is mind-numbing. And most existing tools either charge per image, require API keys, or produce generic garbage like "an image of a thing." So I built a free tool that actually works. It uses a two-step AI pipeline: a vision model analyzes the image first, then an LLM rewrites the description into concise, SEO-friendly alt text. You can inject target keywords and output in 18 languages. I also added a scanner tool — paste any URL and it audits every image on the page, gives you a score out of 100, and tells you exactly what's missing or weak. The whole thing runs on edge AI, so it's fast and free. No signup, no API key, no catch. Would love your feedback — what features would make this more useful for your workflow?

Looks useful, Which model for AI generation?

This can be really useful for SEO. The web page analysis feature looks cool. I can use it for my client websites. Thanks

Alt text is one of those things that gets skipped on every site until an SEO audit flags it as a problem across hundreds of images at once — at which point fixing it manually feels impossible. The website scanner with a 0-100 score is the most useful part of this for that use case; having a concrete number makes it easy to prioritise which pages to tackle first. Genuine question on the SEO keyword injection: how does it avoid over-optimising? Google has been increasingly penalising alt text that reads like keyword stuffing rather than a real image description. Curious whether you inject the keyword naturally into a description or append it, and whether you've tested it against pages that were previously penalised for thin alt attributes.

I have one question, this is useful for improve the quality of prompts or which is the main purpose of it. Would be great to know. Great landing btw.

Very useful, I already use it, great project.

Solid use case. Alt text generation is tedious enough that it just doesn't get done, but it's critical for accessibility. Screen reader users depend on this. What confidence threshold triggers a review warning?
