Hey — I'm Damon, and I built Z Tales solo. The idea came from a simple observation: the bedtime stories kids love most are the ones where they're the hero — their name, their look, their little fear of the dark woven into tonight's story. That's magical and basically impossible to mass-produce… until AI got good enough to write, illustrate, and narrate one in about 30 seconds for pennies. I'm not a parent myself — I came at this as a storyteller and builder. So after shipping v1, I spent weeks on the parts that make bedtime actually feel right: every story is required to end calm and kind (no scary twists), read-along highlighting with automatic page turns, and narration paced for winding down. For the interactive stories, while the kid is deciding what happens next, I generate both branches in the background so the page turn is instant. It's early and I'm building in the open, shipping improvements most nights. I'd love blunt feedback — especially on what feels magical vs. gimmicky, and where the flow drags.
