1. Content creators who want to use a video's thumbnail as inspiration or reference for their own designs
2. YouTubers checking how their competitors' thumbnails look at different resolutions
3. Designers and marketers who need to download a thumbnail quickly for presentations or mockups
4. Researchers and journalists who need to save a video's cover image for articles or reports
5. Anyone who wants to save a high-quality thumbnail from a YouTube video they love

I built ThumbnailGrab because every existing thumbnail downloader I tried was either covered in ads, required a signup, or added watermarks to the images. I wanted something dead simple — paste a URL, see all sizes, click to download. No friction, no tracking, no nonsense. It's fully client-side, which means your data never touches a server. Would love to hear what you think and how I can make it more useful!
Is there a programmatic endpoint here, or just the click-to-download UI? I run a feed app that pulls YouTube Shorts, and I want to mirror thumbnails into my own S3 instead of hotlinking off i.ytimg.com since maxresdefault isn't always there. How are you handling it when maxresdefault 404s, falling down the resolution chain or something smarter?
YouTube Thumbnail Grabber Your product has strong potential, but I found a few key improvements that could make it even better. I'd love to share my feedback and suggestions—please contact me at [email protected]
