Xposto is an automated content creation and scheduling tool designed specifically for the X social media platform. The application utilizes artificial intelligence to transform existing digital assets, such as documents and web feeds, into social media posts. By analyzing the semantic structure of uploaded files or linked URLs, the tool extracts key ideas and arguments to generate text that maintains the original context of the source material. The platform supports a variety of input methods, including the upload of PDF, DOC, and DOCX files, as well as the integration of RSS and URL web feeds. For web feeds, the software monitors for new articles every 15 to 30 minutes and automatically generates posts from fresh content. The AI engine, powered by Claude, allows users to define specific writing styles to ensure the output aligns with their established voice. Additionally, the tool can automatically attach featured images from articles or include rich previews for shared links.
The workflow consists of three primary stages: content ingestion, post generation, and scheduling. Once content is processed and posts are created, users can manage their output through a visual calendar interface. This interface allows for manual editing, rearranging via drag and drop, and the scheduling of posts for automatic publication. The system includes a tracking mechanism to ensure that content is not repeated, prioritizing unused document sections and ensuring each feed article is only posted once.
Technically, Xposto utilizes an OAuth 2.0 PKCE flow to connect directly to a user's X account, eliminating the need for third party intermediaries. The scheduling system is based on a cron scheduler that checks for pending posts every minute to ensure precise delivery times. The service is offered through various tiers, including a free option and paid Basic, Pro, and Premium plans, with advanced features like multi document combination available on higher tiers.
