I built WriteSprout because making a simple handwriting practice sheet often takes more work than it should. I wanted a tool where parents and teachers could type a name or word, adjust a few useful options, and get a printable worksheet immediately — without creating an account or dealing with complicated design tools. WriteSprout is still growing, and I’m gradually adding more handwriting practice tools while trying to keep the experience simple, fast, and privacy-friendly. I’d love to hear what kinds of worksheets or customization options would be most useful next.

WriteSprout looks like a fantastic and practical tool! I love how it makes handwriting practice simple, accessible, and enjoyable for both parents and educators. The ability to customize tracing styles, layouts, and practice sheets before downloading or printing is especially useful. A great free resource for helping children develop their handwriting skills!

Made a name sheet for "Maya" and the live preview updating as I switch between Dotted and Outline is really smooth; the model row + tracing rows + blank rows layout is exactly how these sheets are usually structured. One thing I noticed: on Auto Fit the capital M stops well short of the top guide line, so capitals end up only slightly taller than the lowercase letters. If capitals reached the top line and lowercase letters stopped at the dashed midline, it would match standard primary handwriting paper and teach letter proportions better. Are you planning a sentence mode for copying short phrases?
