WhatIsTheMovie

Cool project , way to go !

damn it helped me alot bro

helpful for finding a good one to watch!

Super cool. It helps me find the film that I forgot.

solid premise. screenshot to title is the natural query for most people, way more intuitive than typing half-remembered plot keywords. one suggestion: a 'i remember a scene where X happened' search would slot into the same workflow and probably catch a lot of the queries that fail when there's no still to upload. good luck with the launch

Sounds really useful

love this idea, like to use it

This actually solves a real pain for me 😅 I’ve had so many moments seeing a random scene and having no idea what movie it’s from. Being able to search by screenshot or vague clues is super useful.

Strong concept and clear use case, but it feels generic and needs sharper differentiation and a more compelling hook to stand out.

Love this idea — I've spent way too long trying to remember movie titles from vague descriptions. Quick question: does it handle descriptions in languages other than English? That would be a huge differentiator for non-English speakers.

This looks cool! Simple and solves a quirky problem that movie mad people will defo have! Good luck :)

This is great! Simple, fast, and does exactly what it needs to. Congrats! 🎉 I highly recommend adding support for other languages in the future.

very cool project. wonder how do you have the movie db?

Something simple and super useful, and really nice website btw!

oh I used to always wish for something like this couple years ago

Huh, this is.a cool idea. I am a fellow movie app builder so nice to see someone else that's not just SAAS. Like the website a lot!

this will be very helpful during shower thoughts

Ahaaaa this is pretty cool. Shazam for films

The idea of "Find movies from descriptions" is really compelling, especially for those obscure films where you only remember a specific scene, not the title. I've found that similar fuzzy matching capabilities are invaluable in other domains too, like when trying to recall API calls based on a vague memory of their function; RouterBase: One API for GPT has been quite useful for streamlining that kind of recall.

Could defn. turn this into a game for friends

Good way to find movies from your childhood.

Using sound would be great too, if you can just record the show as its playing and say what movie is this. Another idea would be to link up with the providers that rent or show the movies fro free and get a payment from them. Keep moving forward.

That's something I always tried to do anyway by myself haha

I described a movie scene I barely remembered, and the site quickly gave me a focused list of possible titles that made it much easier to find the right one.

it's very useful, it helped me a lot!

Very simple, but powerful idea for micro-SaaS! I like it!

Screenshot search is smart. Most people just Google the scene and get nowhere. What database are you using for the movie info?

Cool idea. I just tried to search one movie and found few similar ones that I want to watch!

I like how movie guessing games turn watching films into an interactive challenge. An online spin wheel can add another layer of fun by randomly choosing a movie category, genre, or challenge for the next round. It’s a simple way to keep game nights unpredictable and involve everyone. try https://ruletaaleatoria-online.es/
