I spent 15+ years as a software engineer and cloud architect at Intel, got laid off last year, and decided to build the tool I actually wanted rather than go looking for another corporate job. I'd originally planned something Windows-VM-focused, but pivoted once I realized what I actually wanted was a fast, disposable way to spin up Linux and macOS environments on my own Mac — something built on Apple's own virtualization stack, not a translation layer bolted on top of it. The feature I'm most proud of is AI Bridge — it lets an AI agent running inside an isolated VM reach a model server on the host's own GPU over a fast local channel, so you get real local inference with zero cloud dependency and no code changes on the agent side.
