Untilfree

A daily countdown to your financial freedom date

Visit

Enter your age, savings, how much you invest each month and what you spend. Untilfree works out when your savings or dividend income could cover your spending and counts down to that day every midnight.

You see a cautious, a base and an optimistic date side by side, choose a dividend yield or a withdrawal rate (4% rule by default), and can type in something you're tempted to buy to see what it costs you in time. There's a home screen widget with the countdown.

No account and no bank link: your numbers stay on your phone. It's a planning tool, not financial advice — every date is an estimate.

iPhone now (Android coming soon). Free with ads, optional in-app purchases. Built by me at Srofia, a small independent app studio.

Hi Fazier! I built Untilfree because every FIRE calculator I tried gave me a number once and then I forgot about it. I wanted the date to stay in front of me, so the app turns your savings, investing and spending into one countdown that ticks down every midnight, with a widget on the home screen. The part I use most myself is "Price it": type in something you want to buy and it shows how many days it pushes your date back. It's surprisingly good at stopping impulse buys. There's no account and no bank link; everything stays on your phone. It's iPhone only for now, Android is next. I'd love blunt feedback: which assumption feels off to you, and what would make you open it every day?
