Toolyard is a collection of 56 free tools that run entirely in your browser — nothing is ever uploaded to a server. Compress images to an exact KB target, convert HEIC to JPG, merge, split, rotate and watermark PDFs, strip EXIF/GPS metadata, pick hex colors, generate QR codes, format JSON and more.

Because every file is processed on your own device with Canvas and Web APIs, the tools work offline once loaded and are safe for private documents like IDs and contracts. No sign-up, no watermarks, no file limits — free forever, supported by ads.

Hi Fazier! I built Toolyard after needing to shrink a photo under 100KB for an application form — every free tool wanted to upload my ID photo to a server first. That felt backwards, so I built 56 tools that do the work in the browser instead: nothing is uploaded, they run offline, and they are safe for private files. Client-side processing so files never leave the device is the right call for things like IDs and contracts, exactly where most online converters make me nervous.

"Compress to an exact KB target" is the one I'd bookmark. Marketplaces put hard ceilings on upload size and the usual quality-slider tools make you guess your way down to the number. I ended up writing a small script for it, which is a silly thing to maintain. The local-processing angle matters more than it sounds, too — the files that most need EXIF stripping are exactly the ones you don't want to upload to a stranger's server. Two things I'd want to know: does it hold up offline after the first load, and for the exact-KB compressor, does it binary-search the quality or step down linearly? The former converges much closer to the target on photos with flat backgrounds.
