Hi Fazier community! 👋 We built SubcueAI because interview preparation and real interviews often feel disconnected. Most tools help candidates rehearse beforehand, but the real challenge begins when a conversation takes an unexpected turn. Our goal was to create one AI interview companion for the entire journey—from resume- and job-specific preparation to adaptive mock interviews, real-time transcription, contextual guidance, and post-interview analysis. One of our biggest challenges was making the experience fast, natural, and accessible across platforms. Instead of following a fixed script, SubcueAI’s mock interviewer generates each follow-up question dynamically based on the candidate’s previous answer. We’ve also built native macOS and Windows apps, browser extensions, and support for 26 languages. We believe AI should support a candidate’s thinking, not replace it. We’d love your feedback on the experience and what you’d like us to build next!
The real friction point you're solving here is the disconnect between how people prepare for interviews and what actually happens in them. Most prep tools are static, scripted exercises, but actual interviews are conversations that take unexpected turns. The adaptive follow-up questioning in your mock interviewer is the differentiator here - that's where real learning happens. Combined with real-time transcription and the ability to pull guidance during live interviews, this actually addresses the full journey. Multilingual support and cross-platform availability (macOS, Windows, browser extensions) removes distribution friction too. Solid execution on a genuine pain point.
