Shoe Size Conversion Calculator

I created Size Chart Guru’s Shoe Size Conversion Calculator because converting shoe sizes shouldn’t require jumping between different charts and trying to figure out which row applies to you.

The idea was to combine the best parts of a traditional shoe size chart with the speed of an interactive calculator. Users can choose men’s, women’s, or kids’ sizing, enter the size they know, and instantly convert between US & Canada, UK, EU, centimeters, and inches.

Building it taught me how challenging shoe sizing data can be.

Conversions aren’t perfectly standardized, different age groups need separate data, and European sizes sometimes correspond to ranges rather than a single size.

One of the biggest challenges was making the calculator useful without pretending shoe size conversions are more precise than they really are.

I built the tool using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a responsive interface that works on desktop and mobile. I also added full conversion charts and width charts so users can check the underlying sizing data instead of relying only on the calculator.

The goal is simple: make finding and converting your shoe size faster and easier.
