Private Repo Docs in 2 Minutes

Visit

CodeWiki can't touch private repos. ShipDocs documents yours in 2 minutes: cited AI chat, 9 doc modules, AES-256 encrypted.

Every growing team hits the same wall: new hires can’t find their way around the codebase, and senior devs spend hours every week being the human wiki. ShipDocs fixes that in one pipeline — import a repo, get structured docs, and let anyone on the team ask questions with answers that cite real file paths.

Features

  • Connect your code — private GitHub or GitLab repo, ZIP upload, or local folder via CLI
  • ShipDocs indexes it — scans your codebase, detects components, encrypts everything
  • Docs appear in ~2 minutes — 9 modules per project (overview, architecture, backend, frontend, workers, API, setup, and more)
  • Your team browses or chats — ask “where is webhook verification?” and get an answer with `src/routes/billing.ts:176 ` attached

Use Cases

  • Built for the whole team — not just engineers
  • New devs onboard without pulling seniors off shipping
  • Founders & PMs understand the product without a walkthrough call
  • Sales & marketing finally know what the thing actually does

I'll actually really use it ! Thank you

The UX is beautiful. Looks great!

The 'senior devs as the human wiki' line is painfully real — onboarding always eats the time of the people who can least spare it. Citing real file paths in the answers is the detail that makes me trust this over generic RAG-on-a-repo. Does it re-index on every push, or on demand?

The "senior devs as the human wiki" problem is painfully real. What I like most here is the AES-256 encryption angle — private repos have sensitive stuff and most doc tools gloss over that. Does the AI citation include line numbers, or just file paths? That distinction matters a lot for navigating large codebases quickly.
