Razn is a workspace for solving hard problems and making better decisions, the way the best problem-solvers do it. Most AI tools jump straight to an answer. Razn starts with structure.

Describe the problem, however rough. Razn first pins down what is really being decided, who owns it and what success looks like. Then it breaks the question into an issue tree on an editable canvas: no gaps, no overlaps, every branch with a hypothesis and a test. Quant cards size each driver with named assumptions and bear, base and bull scenarios, so every number traces back to something you can check. When the logic holds, Razn writes it up as a Situation–Complication–Resolution document and an answer-first deck you can export to PowerPoint or PDF.

You stay in control. An AI team (research, analysis, numbers, storyline) works in parallel, explains what it assumed, and stops for your approval after every step. Research mode cites papers and web sources claim by claim. You choose the model per role: Claude, GPT, Gemini or Grok, using the plan or API key you already have.

For founders, operators, investors, managers and anyone who has to turn an ambiguous question into a decision.

Features

  • Issue trees on an editable canvas: break any question into clear, non-overlapping drivers.
  • Problem definition first: owner, success criteria, constraints, before any analysis.
  • Quant cards: named drivers, formulas, bear/base/bull scenarios.
  • Docs and decks: Situation–Complication–Resolution memos and answer-first slides (PPTX, PDF, Word export).
  • AI team with approval gates: specialist agents work in parallel and stop for your review at each step.
  • Cited research: papers (OpenAlex, arXiv, Semantic Scholar) and web, linked claim by claim.
  • Your models: Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Kimi, OpenRouter, per role.
  • Mac app: quick capture from any app, menu-bar status, step notifications.

Use Cases

  • Pricing decisions
  • Why did a metric drop (revenue, retention, margin)
  • Should we expand, launch or enter a market
  • Cost-cutting priorities
  • Investment and build-vs-buy screening
  • Board and leadership memos

Comments

Hi! We built Razn because AI chat is great at answers but weak at reasoning you can check. Razn makes the structure visible: it defines the problem, builds an issue tree, sizes the drivers, and writes the answer as a doc and deck, pausing for your approval at every step. We'd love feedback on one thing: which step feels most useful, and which feels like friction? — Razn team
