Phoenix Funding automates margin lending offers on Bitfinex, and it runs on your own Windows machine instead of someone else's server.

On Bitfinex you can lend your dollars to margin traders and collect interest. Placing one offer takes two minutes. Keeping offers placed is the problem: rates move constantly, loans return to your wallet at all hours, and what comes back fragments into odd-sized amounts. It is a small task that never finishes.

Every tool I could find that solves this is a cloud service. You hand over an API key, and you pay a monthly fee plus, in most cases, a percentage of your interest, indefinitely. I wanted neither, so I built one that runs locally.

Your API key is encrypted on your own disk and is never transmitted anywhere except to Bitfinex. There is no account to create and no server holding anything of yours. The app cannot trade, cannot use leverage, and cannot withdraw — you create the API key without withdrawal permission, so the credential itself has no path to move funds off the exchange.

One-time purchase. No subscription, no cut of anything.

I deliberately publish no return figures anywhere, including my own. Funding rates move constantly and someone else's result tells you nothing about yours. The site points you at the public market data so you can read the live numbers yourself before deciding whether this is worth your time

Use Cases

You hold stablecoins on Bitfinex that are sitting idle between manual offers

You already lend by hand and are tired of re-posting offers every time a loan expires

You want the automation but are not willing to hand an exchange API key to a third-party server

You do not want another monthly subscription, and you do not want a service taking a cut of your interest indefinitely

You leave a machine on anyway and would rather the offers be managed while you sleep than sit in your wallet until morning

You want a tool with a hard, verifiable boundary — one that structurally cannot trade or withdraw, not one that merely promises not to

Comments

I lend stablecoins on Bitfinex's funding market. Placing an offer takes two minutes. Keeping offers placed is what wore me down — rates move, loans come back at three in the morning, and what returns fragments into odd amounts you then handle one at a time. Every tool I found that fixes this is a cloud service. You give it an API key, then pay a monthly fee and usually a slice of your interest, forever. I did not want to do either, so I built the local version for myself and eventually cleaned it up enough to sell. The part I would rather raise myself than have you raise for me: it is closed source, and I am asking you to run a binary that talks to your exchange account. What I can offer is structural rather than trust. The key you create for it has no withdrawal permission, so it has no path to move funds off the exchange. There is no backend for it to send anything to. You can watch its outbound traffic. If that is not enough for you, that is a completely reasonable position and I would rather you did not buy it. Two honest limitations: Windows only for now, and there is no free trial yet. The trial is the next thing I want to fix. One deliberate omission — I publish no return figures anywhere, including my own. Rates move constantly and someone else's number tells you nothing about yours. The site shows you where to read the live market data instead. Happy to answer anything, including the uncomfortable questions.
