Noden

SSH, SFTP & RDP in one native Mac app

Visit
  • Noden is a native macOS (SwiftUI, no Electron) client that combines SSH, SFTP and RDP in a single window. Run a multi-session terminal, a dual-pane SFTP commander (drag from Finder, edit remote files in your own editor) and a full Windows remote desktop side by side — and tile them in a grid: two Linux shells, a file manager and a Windows desktop at once. RDP is FreeRDP rendered with Metal, so resizing stays smooth; clipboard and file copy work both ways, with shared folders and RD Gateway support. An optional AI assistant proposes shell commands (bring your own key or use the built-in one). Credentials stay in the macOS Keychain. Free for up to 5 connections; Pro is $10/year. Requires macOS 13+.

I kept three apps open all day to manage servers from my Mac: a terminal for SSH, an SFTP app for files, and Microsoft Remote Desktop for the one Windows box we can't get rid of. So I built Noden to put all three in one native window — and to tile them in a grid (two Linux shells + a file manager + a Windows desktop at once). Native SwiftUI, no Electron. RDP is FreeRDP rendered with Metal so resizing stays smooth. Credentials stay in the macOS Keychain. Free for up to 5 connections; Pro is $10/year. Would love feedback, especially on the SSH/RDP internals. Honest caveat: keyboard-interactive-only SSH servers aren't supported yet.
