Features

Keyword search across the whole 60 day window.

Filters for .com only, other TLDs, or a brand protection view that surfaces names resembling an existing brand.

Browse by day to see what was registered on a given date.

Browse by TLD and by registrar to see where registrations concentrate.

A 90 day trend, including the weekly rhythm of registration volume.

Naming characteristics: length distribution, and how many names are purely alphabetic versus carrying digits or hyphens.

Use Cases

Domain investors watching which patterns and extensions are being taken.

Brand owners checking whether names close to theirs turned up this week.

Researchers who want the shape of registration activity rather than a single lookup.

I built this because I kept needing the same thing and kept doing it by hand: given a keyword, what got registered in the last few weeks, across all the extensions, not just .com. So it is a keyword search over domain names registered in roughly the last 60 days. Hundreds of TLDs, processed daily. On 11 September the index held 16,826,830 names. You can also go the other way and browse by day, by TLD, or by registrar, which is how you notice that one registrar or one extension suddenly moved. Two deliberate choices. Searching needs no account, because a lookup tool that asks you to sign up before it answers anything is useless. And the site sets no cookies and loads no third party resources, so opening it does not tell anyone anything about you. What I would most like feedback on is the brand protection view, which surfaces names that resemble an existing brand. It is the piece I am least sure I have got right.
