Hey there! My name is Brandon, and I started developing Myrlo to solve two problems I had with a lot of the character-driven AI apps out there: 1) I saw a lot of story/character duplication, because the bots had their situations baked into their base prompts. 2) I wanted more variety when talking to the same character or story. 3) I am not personally a fan of the heavy anime aesthetic many of the apps have. So under the hood Myrlo relies heavily on RAG combined with graph-based storytelling techniques to blend and combine elements into each story for more replayability and exploration. I've also invested heavily in trying to provide a more inclusive underlying system, letting you modify your persona in any way you see fit, and modify the gender and sex of the AI characters at any time.
