Munen is a screen-time app for iPhone that changes how it meets you tomorrow, based on how today actually went.
Every night, on your phone, it scores your full day: how much you used the apps you marked as distracting, app switching, late-night scrolling, long sessions. That places you in one of five zones, and the zone sets today's friction - the pause before a distracting app opens. A rough day earns a firmer pause. A good week eases it. Never more than one step per day.
Nothing is blocked. When a distracting app opens, the shield shows the reason you wrote yourself and the alternative you picked, then lets you decide.
Why the next morning and not the moment: punishing you while you are failing is what blockers do, and it is why they get deleted. Munen never hardens the friction mid-slip. You always know why, because the score is transparent.
The scoring, your usage data and your journal stay on the device. Only the optional AI features send the text they need to a provider.
The free plan is the full app for up to three apps, with no time limit.

I built Munen after deleting my third app blocker. The pattern was always the same: install it, feel in control for a few days, then hit a bad afternoon where the block turns into an obstacle instead of a help. So you disable it. And once it is off, it stays off. The thing that kept bothering me is that every one of those apps reacts in the moment. You are already scrolling, already having a rough day, and the app picks that exact moment to make itself harder. That is when people resent it and delete it. So Munen waits. Your phone scores the day at night, on the device, and the pause adjusts the next morning. Never more than one step. A bad hour does not turn into a wall, and a good week is felt the next day. Nothing is blocked. When a distracting app opens, the shield shows the reason you wrote yourself, and you decide. The scoring stays on the phone, and you can always see why you are in the zone you are in. Built solo, on the App Store since August. Happy to answer anything.
