  • Markdown editor: Create rich documents using headers, lists, checkboxes, inline formatting, and more. Perfect for journaling, planning, or writing structured content.
  • Folder & file system: Organize your content in a familiar file/folder layout. Right-click to create, rename, or delete documents.
  • Kanban board support: Use .kb files to manage task boards visually. Great for simple project tracking, to-dos, or sprint planning.

  • Minimal, distraction-free design: Stay focused with a UI that gets out of your way and lets you work.

Use Cases

  • Quick Note-Taking for Students & Researchers: If you're a student or researcher who often needs to jot down quick notes, you no longer need to open a separate application or manually save files. With this tool, you can easily create and save notes directly in your browser—fast and frictionless.
  • Built-in Kanban for Product Management: For those who like to manage tasks or projects using tools like Kanban boards, this tool has those features built-in. You can organize your workflow, track progress, and manage tasks—all directly from your browser, without needing third-party apps.
  • Offline Access to Your Work & Notes: Many modern productivity tools require an internet connection. If you prefer working offline, this tool lets you keep your data, notes, and tasks fully accessible—even without the internet.
  • Always-on Reminders in Your Browser: Want to remind yourself of something important? Instead of setting up complex notifications, you can simply add it to a file in this tool. Each time you open your browser, your reminders are right there—no extra steps required.

Building something people want

As a long-time fan and daily user of Papier, I loved its simplicity—just open a new tab and start writing. It became my go-to space for jotting down notes, ideas, and reminders. But over time, I ran into a limitation: everything lived on a single endless page. As my notes grew, navigating and organizing them became frustrating. That’s when the idea struck me—what if I could bring a lightweight file system, like the ones used in code editors, right into the browser? A way to create folders, separate notes, and keep everything neatly structured without losing the simplicity I loved. Once I added basic file and folder support, things started to evolve naturally. The same system could support more than just notes. I began experimenting—adding a Kanban board, supporting Markdown, and integrating more tools—all within the browser, all offline-capable. This project was born from a real personal need, and it’s built for anyone who wants a simple, powerful way to think, write, and organize—right from the browser.

Hey, that's interesting. Is it only available for Chromium browsers?
