Minute of Fame

A live clock where every minute of the day has an owner

Visit

Minute of Fame is a live clock for the whole internet. A day has 1,440 minutes, and each one can belong to someone.

When your minute comes around, your name, logo and link take over the stage for everyone watching at that moment, everywhere. Then the next minute takes over. Tomorrow it happens again.

You don't need an account to watch. Anyone can react, post a short note that airs in an open minute, and wave in the last seconds before :00, when the site counts everyone who waved together.

Everything is checked before it airs. Some minutes belong to everyone and are never sold. Open minutes start at $5.

Ver good for me, I like it and suggested

Giving each of the 1,440 minutes of the day a single owner is a fun, easy-to-grasp idea, and the dial for browsing every minute makes picking one intuitive. I like that some minutes are kept free for everyone and that content is checked before airing. Does the minute-wave countdown before :00 have any rewards for the people who join in?

The idea of giving every one of the 1,440 minutes a single owner is simple and memorable, and the dial for browsing minutes makes it easy to hunt for a meaningful time like a birthday. I'd be curious how the shared wave right before :00 looks on screen for a big crowd.

The dial of all 1,440 minutes is the part that got me — hunting for your birthday minute or a lucky-number time is genuinely fun. Curious how the shared wave at :00 works, is that something everyone watching does together?

The shared wave in the last seconds before :00 is a clever touch. It turns watching a clock into something people do together. Which timezone does a minute belong to? If I buy 09:15, is that 09:15 UTC for everyone, or does it air at 09:15 in each viewer's local time? The second would mean one owner airs 24 times a day, so I'm guessing UTC. Showing the buyer's minute converted to their own local time at checkout would avoid a lot of 'why didn't mine show' emails.
