Manifest

Your home inventory, built from a photo.

Visit

Manifest is a home inventory app that builds itself from a photo. Snap a picture, forward a receipt, or say what you bought, and it pulls the brand, model, serial number, warranty, and return window, then files it for you. So when something breaks and the warranty wants proof of purchase, a return window is closing, or an insurance adjuster wants a list, you already have it. On web, iOS, and Android. Free trial, then plans from $1.99/month.

Features

  1. Builds itself from a photo. Snap a picture and Manifest works out the brand, model, serial number, price, warranty, and return window. This is the whole reason the inventory gets built instead of abandoned after a week.
  2. Warranty proof on hand. The serial number and proof of purchase are filed the moment you log something, so a covered repair stays covered instead of becoming "just buy a new one."
  3. One-tap insurance report. Generates a complete, dated inventory PDF an adjuster will accept. The list you'll desperately want after a theft, fire, or flood, ready before you need it.
  4. Return-window tracking. Flags the deadline before it closes, so the thing you meant to send back doesn't quietly become yours forever.
  5. Knows where you put it. Records each item's location and lets you search for it, so "where IS that" stops being a twenty-minute hunt.
  6. Forward a receipt. Email a receipt to your Manifest address and it files the item on its own. No app open, no typing.
  7. Just say it. Voice capture for when your hands are full or typing is more friction than the task is worth.
  8. Capture a whole room at once. Photograph a shelf, a drawer, or a room and Manifest picks out the individual items. The fastest way out of an empty inventory.
  9. Recall alerts. Checks your items against recall notices and tells you when something you own gets pulled.
  10. Resale value estimates. Tells you roughly what something's worth now, for insurance valuation, downsizing, or deciding whether to keep it.

Use Cases

  • The warranty repair. Something breaks inside its window. The repair desk wants proof of purchase, model, and serial. You have all three.
  • The insurance claim. Theft, fire, flood, or storm. The adjuster wants an itemized list with values, and you export it in one tap instead of reconstructing it from memory.
  • Disaster and wildfire prep. Build the record now, while everything still exists, so a future claim isn't a guessing game.
  • The closing return window. You meant to return it. Manifest reminds you before the window shuts.
  • "Where did I put it?" The spare charger, the drill, the box you packed six months ago. You search instead of hunt.
  • Moving house. Inventory what you own before the movers come, then confirm nothing went missing or got broken after.
  • Renters and homeowners insurance. Document possessions for a policy, or right-size your coverage to what you actually own.
  • Downsizing or settling an estate. A clear list of what's there and what it's worth, for selling, splitting, or settling.
  • Decluttering and resale. Decide what to keep, then turn the rest into marketplace listings.
  • High-value gear. Cameras, tools, instruments, bikes, electronics, with serial numbers logged for theft recovery and resale.
  • Recall safety. Find out when something in your home gets recalled, instead of never hearing about it.
  • Landlord or short-term rental. Track what's in a unit and its condition for turnovers and deposit disputes.
  • Collections. Wine, watches, vinyl, anything where provenance and value are worth keeping straight.
