MakerNotch

Your projects' CI, deploys and revenue in your Mac's notch

Visit

MakerNotch is a native macOS app for developers who run more than one project. Hover the notch or click the menu bar icon to see the selected project's pull requests, CI runs, deployments, revenue, errors and assigned issues. Each project keeps its own connections, so you never sign in and out of dashboards. Works on Macs without a notch. US$9 once, updates included.

Features

11 integrations: GitHub, GitLab, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, Stripe, Polar, Linear, Sentry, Supabase, DataFast and Resend

Notch status with the panel closed: all clear, CI failing, deploying

Per-project notes and bookmarks, focus timer and developer utilities

Read-only keys stored in the macOS Keychain; requests go straight from your Mac to each provider

Use Cases

Check PRs, CI and deploys for several projects without opening separate dashboards

Watch revenue and errors for your side projects at a glance

See your assigned issues from GitHub, GitLab and Linear in one panel

Comments

Love the idea of seeing CI, deploys and revenue for every side project in one glance instead of five tabs. Keeping read-only keys in the Keychain is a nice touch. Could it show a small alert in the notch when a deploy fails or Sentry spikes? That's the moment I'd want it to grab my attention.

I run Vercel and Resend too, so this one is for me. but half of my backend sits on Railway and Hetzner, any plans for those? $9 once is fair price, no subscription is a plus

Read-only keys in the Keychain, with requests going straight to each provider, is a good answer to the obvious "do I trust this with my Stripe key" question. Does it poll on a timer, and can you set the interval per service? I'd want CI checked often but revenue maybe once an hour.

Can each project have its own notch status priority, so a failing CI run on a main project shows up even when a side project is selected? Also curious whether the focus timer pauses notch alerts while it's running.

Discover independent developers and what...

Separate connections for each project, read-only access and keys stored locally make this a thoughtfully designed tool for indie developers. The compact CI and deployment status display looks useful for keeping track of several projects.

Putting CI and deploy status in the notch is a clever use of otherwise dead space. How does it behave on Macs without a notch, or when the main screen is an external display — does it fall back to the menu bar icon? And with several projects, does a hover show all of them at once or one at a time?
