I built LLM Automatic Translation because I ran into a very real problem in my own projects. I needed to translate a lot of content with WPML, but WPML’s Automatic Translation pricing quickly became unreasonable at scale. Using ChatGPT directly was dramatically cheaper, but there was no clean way to plug it into WPML while keeping the existing workflow. So I built a small add-on that does exactly that: no reselling of credits, no hidden margins, just your WordPress site, WPML, and your own OpenAI API key. This plugin is opinionated on purpose: it’s made only for WordPress + WPML users who care about cost control, transparency, and scalability. I’m happy to hear feedback, feature requests, or real-world use cases, feel free to share how you handle translations today or what’s missing in your current setup.
Its value is strongest for WPML users who are cost-conscious, technically comfortable managing an API key, and seek to maintain their current workflow. However, users must be prepared for the responsibility of managing the API integration and should expect to review AI-generated translations for accuracy and nuance.
