LiveDocument

Attach a video walkthrough to a document, share as one link

Visit

LiveDocument is a document sharing platform that pairs your files with your voice. Instead of emailing a PDF and hoping it gets read, you upload the document, record or attach a video walkthrough, and send a single link.

Recipients can see the document and your narration together and click a highlighted section to jump to the exact point in the video where you explain it.

Behind the link, you see who opened it, when, and how long they spent on each section, in real time. Optional email capture turns anonymous viewers into known leads.

Features

  • Video walkthroughs attached to the document. Record a walkthrough or attach an existing video, and it travels with the file. The recipient sees your explanation and your pages side by side instead of hunting through a separate tab.
  • Clickable highlights synced to timestamps. Mark up a section of the document and tie it to a moment in the video. Click the pricing table, land on the thirty seconds where it's explained.
  • One tracked link. No attachments, no version confusion, no 40MB email bounce. Update the file and the link stays the same.
  • Page-level engagement analytics. See how long someone spent on every page, not just whether they opened it. Page seven for four minutes tells you something. Page seven for four seconds tells you something else.
  • Real-time open notifications. Know the moment your document gets opened, so your follow-up lands while you're still on their mind.
  • Optional email capture. Gate the document behind an email address. Turns anonymous viewers into named leads, and shows you when your proposal has been forwarded to someone with signing authority.
  • Works with the files you already send. PDFs, slide decks, proposals and web-based documents.
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest, with independently audited controls.

Use Cases

  • Sales proposals and pricing. Send the quote with the reasoning attached, so the buyer hears why the number is what it is rather than staring at it cold. The page timings tell you whether they got stuck on pricing or breezed past it.
  • Investor and fundraising decks. Founders send the deck once and it gets forwarded round a partnership. Email capture shows you who it reached, and the analytics show you which slide the fund actually cared about.
  • Consulting deliverables and research findings. A 40-page findings document usually needs a readout call to make sense. Attach the readout to the document and the client can watch it at 11pm on a Tuesday without booking your calendar.
  • Contracts and legal documents. Walk someone through the clauses that matter, with each one clickable, so the redline conversation starts from a shared understanding instead of a phone call.
  • Commercial real estate memoranda. Big property packs full of floorplans, financials and photos, sent to a list of prospective buyers. You get to narrate the opportunity and see who's genuinely reading it.
  • Client onboarding and handover packs. Replace the kickoff call with a document the new client can revisit whenever they forget how something works.
  • Recurring client reporting. Monthly reports that normally go unread. Add two minutes of commentary and you find out whether anyone opens them.
  • Internal documents that would otherwise be a meeting. Strategy docs, process changes, board updates. Send the explanation once and let people read it in their own time.

We built LiveDocument because we were sick of sending one-pagers, slide decks, and other marketing materials out into the void without knowing what happened to them. But we also didn't want to send boring PDFs to begin with! So we thought, why don't we build something with document tracking, link management, and video all baked into one? And that is how LiveDocument started.
