A year ago I was applying across engineering, data science, and product management at the same time — over 100 applications. My interview rate was 4%. Not because I wasn't qualified, but because I was sending a CV that never told the right story for the specific job in front of me. I started tailoring manually. Before each application I'd go through my bullets and swap in the ones most relevant to that role. It was tedious, but it worked — my interview rate doubled to 8%. I called the approach the bullet library method. The problem was it took 20–30 minutes per job, and every AI tool I tried made it worse by rewriting my bullets instead of selecting from them. So I built the thing I actually wanted: paste a job description, get your own achievements ranked by relevance, toggle what you want, export in 60 seconds. It's a solo product, built nights and weekends alongside a job search then a full-time job. Right now I have 1,500 users and I'm focused on getting more of them to that second and third download — the point where the tool becomes a real habit in someone's job search.
