Koder

Kids learn to code. Parents see the progress.

Visit

I'm a programming tutor, and I kept meeting the same kind of parent. Busy, supportive, but slightly or completely in the dark as to how their kids are learning to code. A lot of them really wanted their kids to learn how to code but at the same time they wanted to know whether their child was making progress on this hard skill.

They were looking for answers to questions like are they doing assignments?, building real things, and making progress overall. For some of them, coding felt too abstract to follow. So I built Koder.

Koder.quest is a gamified web development platform for kids aged 10 to 18+. Instead of long video courses, kids complete short quests that build up to real projects and games. They write and run code right in the browser, so there is nothing to install.

Kira, our built-in AI tutor, asks questions and gives hints so kids learn to think problems through instead of copying answers. A global leaderboard with country flags adds a little friendly competition.

Parents get their own dashboard, written for people who don't code. It shows what their child built, whether they've been active this week, and their streak, so nobody is guessing whether the learning is happening.

Beyond all of these, Koder is also built for focus and safety. We are very intentional about kids' privacy which is why we limit how much they interact with the outside world allowing them to concentrate solely on learning how to code and building real projects they would be proud of.
