Booking platforms price regionally, so the same stay can be displayed at a different price depending on the country you browse from. GeoRates makes that visible: paste the link to your hotel on Booking.com, pick the room, board and cancellation terms, and it opens a separate session per country and reads the publicly displayed price for that exact room. Every amount is tax- and fee-inclusive and converted to euros at the live exchange rate, so the country stays the only variable. Differences below one percent are reported as no difference rather than as a find. Not a booking portal, no affiliate links, free and without sign-up.

I built GeoRates because I kept running into the same thing: the same hotel room shows a different price depending on which country you appear to be browsing from. Plenty of blog posts claim this, but nearly every comparison I found was sloppy - a tax-exclusive price in one country against a tax-inclusive one in another, or a non-refundable rate against a flexible one. So the savings evaporated at checkout. GeoRates fixes the room, the board and the cancellation terms, opens a separate session per country, and converts everything to euros at the live rate, tax and fees included. Anything under 1% is reported as no difference rather than dressed up as a find - I'd rather return an honest "nothing here" than a fake 0.3% win. It's a hobby project, free, no sign-up, and deliberately without any affiliate links to the platform whose prices it compares. Happy to answer anything about the approach, especially where you think the methodology is still too naive.
