I was thinking about building a new web server in a systems programming language, because I found that SVR.JS (a web server that I was building) was too slow according to performance benchmarks. Several weeks later, and I am now building Ferron - a fast, memory-safe web server written in Rust. It is currently in beta, so any feedback is welcome.
