Embedfinder

Video page URL in, clean metadata and embeds out

Visit

Embedfinder turns a video page into an entry ready to publish. Paste a YouTube or Vimeo link, a page with a video player, or a whole listing (a YouTube playlist or channel, a category page) and get back the title, description, poster, tags, date, duration and the player embeds the page publishes, ranked from the most reliable one.

YouTube is read through its official API, Vimeo and Dailymotion through oEmbed, and any other page through Open Graph, JSON-LD and its players. It does not download or store videos.

Free to try: 5 links a day without an account, 10 a day with a free one. Paid plans add full listings, CSV, the REST API, webhooks and the WordPress connector.

Comments

Hi Fazier! We built Embedfinder because loading a video catalog by hand means copying the same fields over and over: title, description, thumbnail, tags, duration and the embed code. Paste a YouTube, Vimeo or video page link (or a whole playlist) and you get all of that as one entry, ready to copy, export as JSON or CSV, call from the API, or send to WordPress as a draft. It never downloads videos; it only reads the public metadata and the players a page already publishes. You can try 5 links a day without an account. What sources would you like it to read next?
