Hey everyone Built dltkk because I got tired of every video downloader being an absolute nightmare to use. Fake download buttons, popup ads, malware redirects — just to save one TikTok video. I wanted something with one rule: no BS. Paste a link, pick a format, download. That's it. Started as a TikTok-only tool, rebuilt it to support 1000+ platforms via yt-dlp after realizing people needed the same thing for YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and everywhere else. Added batch downloading, GIF conversion, and lossless audio formats along the way. A few things I learned building it: - Streaming yt-dlp via stdout breaks silently on formats requiring ffmpeg merging — routing everything through /tmp fixed it - TikTok blocks all non-browser requests, --impersonate chrome-131 is the fix - Reddit blocks datacenter IPs at the network level, no workaround exists yet No ads now, no ads ever.
