Casatab

Track every cost of buying your home — in one place.

Visit

Buying a house costs 8–15% more than the price tag — notary, taxes, registration, mortgage fees, renovations, furniture. CasaTab is a focused tracker for exactly that project: log every cost in 14 purchase-specific categories, attach receipts, set a purchase budget, and see in real time what the house actually costs. It includes serious mortgage tracking: French/Italian amortization, fixed/variable/mixed rates with Euribor auto-updated daily, extra repayments and what-if comparisons. Invite your partner and split costs fairly. Works in 6 languages (EN/ES/FR/DE/NL/PT) across 16 countries. Privacy-first: zero analytics or tracking inside the app. Free for one house; Pro is a €49 one-time purchase — no subscription.

  • Purchase budget with a total cap and per-category limits, with live progress on the dashboard
  • Planned vs paid expenses, so upcoming bills are visible before they hit
  • Receipt and document storage with folders and search
  • Serious mortgage tracking: French and Italian amortization, fixed, variable and mixed rates, Euribor and other reference rates updated daily, extra repayments, what-if comparisons
  • Shared households: invite your partner, log who paid what, split costs fairly
  • Free public calculators: cost of buying a house in Spain (English and Spanish) and an ITP-by-region table
  • 6 languages (EN, ES, FR, DE, NL, PT), 16 countries, multi-currency
  • Privacy-first: no ads and zero analytics or tracking inside the app
  • Installable web app (PWA) with cloud sync

Use Cases

  • First-time buyers who want the real total cost of their purchase, not just the listing price, since taxes and fees add 10–15% on top
  • Couples buying together who need one shared ledger of who paid what, with fair splitting
  • Foreigners buying property in Spain who have to budget ITP, notary, lawyer and the larger non-resident deposit
  • New owners mid-renovation, tracking reforma quotes, furniture and moving costs against one budget instead of a spreadsheet
  • Mortgage holders following their amortization schedule, Euribor rate changes, and testing whether an extra repayment should cut the term or the monthly payment
  • Anyone replacing a home-buying Excel or Notion template with something both partners can update from their phones

This is a smart way to handle a part of home buying that usually gets scattered across spreadsheets, receipts, and bank statements. The planned vs paid tracking and mortgage what-if comparisons stand out most. I also like that Pro is a one-time purchase instead of another subscription.

Real-Estate buying cost tracking is very essential part , Some Hidden Charges we can know before getting it.

Putting every cost in one place is the right call. The problem with buying a house is never one big number, it is forty small ones you did not budget for.

Home buying costs really do sprawl across spreadsheets and emails. Does it support non-US markets? Closing cost structures differ a lot between countries.

Home buying is one of the most complex purchases most people make, and it's easy to lose track of all the costs - inspections, appraisals, repairs, closing costs. Having one place that actually shows the complete picture is huge. It transforms a chaotic spreadsheet into something you can actually refer back to and learn from for the next property.

The 8 to 15 percent line is the whole product in one sentence, and it is the number nobody has in front of them when they make the offer. Good to see planned against paid in the feature list — that is the half most trackers leave out, and the half that changes a decision, because what is still to come is what tells you whether the budget holds. One thing I would want on top of it: the costs arrive in a sequence, not all at once, and the renovation and the furniture land months after the notary. Does the dashboard put the planned ones in date order, so you can see which month runs short rather than only that the total is over?

Buying a home is terrifying because the numbers are so big and the fees never stop. Having one dashboard that actually tracks everything from inspections to closing costs means you're not blindsided during the process. Most people don't know what they should expect to pay - Casatab changes that. It transforms the biggest financial decision most people make from anxiety-inducing to actually manageable.
