Backend Social is an independent social messaging app for Android and the web, built by a solo developer. It's an early public beta and I'm looking for feedback on onboarding, reliability and what's missing.
Real-time public chat and communities
Private messages with GIFs and reactions
Profile customization
Two-factor authentication (TOTP)
Connected devices and session management
Interface in 21 languages
Chatting in real time with people who share your interests
Keeping in touch privately with friends
Joining language-based communities in 21 languages
Trying a simple, independent alternative to crowded social apps

Hi Fazier! 👋 I'm a solo developer and Backend Social is my first full product. I wanted to understand the whole path from an idea to a real Web + Android release: real-time chat, private messages, sessions and 2FA, a 21-language interface, and a Play Store release. The goal is a simple place to talk, without a crowded interface. It's an early public beta, so things will break. The most useful feedback right now is about the first five minutes: is it clear how to sign up, join a community and start a conversation? Thanks for checking it out, and I'll reply to every comment!
