Awesome MCP Servers

Every MCP server labelled with what it can touch

Visit

MCP servers plug into Claude Desktop, Claude Code and other AI clients, and some of them can change real things: your files, repositories, databases or accounts. Awesome MCP Servers is a hand-checked catalog that tells you before you connect one.

Each of the 99 servers carries labels: official or community, hosted or local, read-only or mutating, paid account needed, crypto payment taken. They sit in 16 categories, from files and web search to databases, design and infrastructure, and every link is re-checked.

The list is free and MIT-licensed. Search and filter it on brethof.ai, or read it on GitHub, where anyone can add a server with a pull request or an issue.

Hi Fazier! The big MCP directories list thousands of servers, which is great for finding one but not for trusting one. We went the other way: fewer servers, each checked against its own source, each labelled with who publishes it, where it runs and whether it can change anything. The list is free and MIT-licensed. If you build an MCP server, send it in with a pull request or an issue on GitHub and we'll check it. What do you look at first before you connect a new MCP server to your AI client?
