I was a long-time user of the Arc browser, and I was deeply attached to its cmd+shift+C shortcut for copying URLs. When I finally decided to switch back to Chrome, I found myself constantly opening Developer Tools just to copy a link—it was a daily friction point that drove me crazy. I tried existing extensions, but they felt clunky and unreliable. I wanted something that felt as smooth and integrated as Arc's native feature. So, I built Arclet Copier for myself. But it quickly became more than just a personal tool. I became obsessed with solving the fundamental reliability issues that plague other extensions. This led me down a rabbit hole to discover and implement Chrome's Offscreen Document API, ensuring Arclet Copier works flawlessly on any page, even system pages. From there, I poured my love for great design and powerful workflows into every detail: customizable URL cleaning, flexible copy templates, a satisfying Arc-style toast notification, and more. Arclet Copier is my passion project—a quest to create the most elegant, powerful, and reliable URL toolkit for the web.
