The category and trending filters are the right default for discovery. What I'd want before installing a server is a visible per-server indicator of maintenance activity and requested permissions — that's what turns a directory from a list into something you can trust with an agent. Keyboard-first search is a nice touch for people juggling several agents at once.
The category and use-case based discovery makes finding MCP servers much easier than browsing a long directory. I’d love to see trust signals such as maintenance status, last update, permissions required, and user ratings for each server. That would make it much easier to evaluate a server before installing it.
