The conversational format for AI skill assessment is smart. Multiple choice tests for AI knowledge are useless because people either know the concept or they don't - there's no middle ground. Conversational assessment forces people to actually explain their reasoning about AI workflows and problems, which surfaces the real gaps. Being able to say "I know how to use ChatGPT" is different from being able to reason through when to use different models or how to structure a prompt for consistency.
