AI2Web is an open interoperability layer for AI-enabled websites. You describe your site's capabilities once in a single manifest at /ai2w (its content, products, actions and support flows), and AI2Web exposes them through whichever protocols an assistant understands: MCP, ACP, REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI and feeds. No per-assistant rebuilds. It works with Claude and ChatGPT connectors today, keeps anything that moves money behind user approval, and gives you one place to validate, monitor and manage your AI presence instead of a dozen fragmented portals. The protocol, spec and SDKs are open source (MIT for code, CC-BY 4.0 for the spec).

The assistant landscape is fragmented right now - you build for Claude, then rebuild for ChatGPT, then again for whatever new AI agent launches next month. Every time a new protocol or platform emerges, sites have to reinvent integrations. AI2Web inverts this problem elegantly - describe your site once (content, products, actions, APIs) and let the manifest act as a translation layer. Instead of adapting for each assistant, you expose capabilities in a standardized way and the various AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, future assistants) consume from that single source of truth. This is especially valuable for SaaS companies, marketplaces, and content platforms that need to be discoverable and usable by multiple AI systems. The no-rebuild requirement means upgrading your API or adding new capabilities doesn't trigger another round of integration work across N different assistant platforms. It's infrastructure that gets less visible the better it works.
