PopTask turns a messy thought into a scheduled task in about 3 seconds .. type it the way you'd say it ("gym mon wed fri 6am") and it figures out the date, time, recurrence and reminder for you, no pickers and no forms .. it lives in the mac menu bar and on iphone + ipad, runs on-device, and syncs across your devices through your own icloud
type messy natural language, get a real scheduled task in 3 seconds .. date, time, recurrence and reminder auto-detected

hey .. am haider, solo dev .. i built PopTask because every to-do app made me fill out a form for a 2-second thought .. title, date, time, repeat, reminder .. so i'd lose it or not bother so i made the opposite: you type the mess the way you'd say it ("gym mon wed fri 6am") and it becomes a real scheduled task in about 3 seconds, no forms .. it runs on-device (private, offline, 9 languages), lives in the mac menu bar and now on iphone + ipad too i built it for myself first, people made it stick, now it's my full-time focus .. would love your feedback, throw your messiest input at it and tell me where it breaks
PopTask has great potential! A few improvements could make it even better. I'd love to share my feedback and suggestions. WhatsApp: https://wa.me/447307349530 Telegram: t.me/rforrank
The "no forms, just type the mess" approach is exactly right for capture-in-the-moment — we see the same failure mode building Unstuck for ADHD users: the 2-second thought dies during the 30-second form-fill, so people stop bothering and the app goes unused. On-device parsing is a smart call too since it kills the "why does a todo app need my data" hesitation that adds friction at the exact moment someone's trying to capture something fast. Does the NLP handle vague/incomplete input gracefully (e.g. just "call mom" with no time), or does it need a time anchor to parse correctly?
